Cooking with Zephir : Chocolate Cake

Who's ready for a new recipe ? I hope a lot of people XD
This is a very simple recipe for a very simple cake , who doesn't love chocolate ?

Double guardian , double meow x3

So , the ingredients are...

- 150 gr flour

- 150 gr sugar

- 75 gr butter

- 75 gr chocolate powder

- 3 eggs

- 200 ml milk

- 1 baking powder

And now , follow these steps

1) Separate the whites of the eggs and place the yolk in another bowl
2) Beat the egg whites until foamy
3) Beat the yolks witht the sugar for at least 10 minutes
4) Add the softned butter and keep mixing
5) Add flour and chocolate powder after you sift them
6) Add milk, the whites of the eggs and the baking powder
7) Grease a baking pan with some butter and add flour , so the cake will not stick on the pan , then pour the mix in it
8) Pre-heat the oven at 170 °C then place the pan inside and cook for around 40 min
9) Check with a toothpick in the middle if the cake is cooked , then remove from the oven

As you can see , I also added some frosting and using some paper , I did the letters

I wanted to dedicate this cake to some special people I met when i went to Rome the other week , they were so kind and they give me as a present that cute lynx plushie :3

Persona 4 - the Animation

Yup , it's finally here , the first episode of Persona 4 the Animation , an anime based on the famous PS2 j-RPG that will also gain soon a PSVITA remake and an arcade/console beat 'em up spinoff

This is the first episode , already subbed in english

Here's my opinion on this episode

I think the episode was great , not just because they tried to follow the event of the game closely , but they also used the same soundtrack and some other little things related to the game , like for example the calendar with the weather forecast and the Main Character social chart , very pretty. Still , it's obvious that the episode will rush the events , and the result is that a 2 hour intro was squeezed in a 20 minutes episode , but that's the way it works , it's still awesome XD

The next episode will be relased the 14th October , I cannot wait for it XD

Let's talk about J-RPGs

I want to spend a bit of time talking about my favorite game genre : J-RPGs

J-RPGs , Japanese Role Playing Games , are quite different from occidental RPGs , featuring anime-ish characters a linear story and lots of battles with shiny effects and pretty music
It actually involves other stuff , but you get the point , right ? XD

I prefer them over the traditional RPGs , because I love almost everything of them , but mostly the music and the art style (a style that inspired my own drawings)

Most of my game library is made of J-RPGs , and I can say that I played almost all of them (at least the ones that came outside Japan) , so I thought it'll be a nice thing to talk about the main J-RPGs series and give my personal review on them ^^

I'll start it soon , and the first one will obviously be Final Fantasy

And so , Megaman Legends 3 was cancelled....

Well , yea , according to the Capcom Unity Blog...

We'd like to thank you for your ongoing loyal support of Mega Man Legends 3. Today, however, we must regrettably announce the discontinuation of this project.

From the outset the MML3 Project was intended to give gamers across the world insight and input into the development process. Part of this process includes an assessment of whether the title will go into full production, and is based on a number of criteria with input from different sectors of the company.

Unfortunately it was not felt that the Mega Man Legends 3 Project met the required criteria, and it is with regret that we must announce that the Mega Man Legends 3 Project has been cancelled, meaning that Capcom will not be releasing the Prototype or the full game. Additionally, updates of the Mega Man Legends Developer Room will cease as of today, though the North American Developer Room and its forums will remain open indefinitely.

We can only express our deepest apologies to all of you who have lent us your unending support, including participation in the Mega Man Legends 3 Developer Room. On behalf of the entire Legends team, please accept our sincere apology for failing to meet the expectations of the fans.

We thank you all so much for your extended support of this title and this community, and we hope that you will continue to support the Mega Man franchise as well as other Capcom games.

So , uhm........what to say......eeeeh...........FUCK YOU CRAPCOM !!!!
I can't belive it , after all the hype , the monumental trailers , the promise of a playble demo , the possibility for fans to give their ideas..........and now it's over ???
I admit , it was only to be expected since when Keiji Inafune left Capcom , but still , I , along with many others , belived that the project would continue....

Well , that was a direct hit that totally erased my will to buy more Capcom games
Let's face it , what games do Capcom have ?

- Megaman , but the only things they do now are Megaman X with old graphic and zero effort and Battle Network
- Devil May Cry that now has embraced the emo side of the Force
- Resident Evil is just a normal action/shooting game with nothing special
- Street Fighter is just a joke with all his "editions"
- Phoenix Wright that now they stopped doing it for America and Europe since Gyakuten Kenji 2 is Japan only
- Breath of Fire..........let's just forget it

Anything else relevant ?
I'm just disappointed , maybe Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 Super Ultra Special Arcade Edition was way too important for them...

I think that the best we can do is to remember the good old Megaman Legends 1 and 2 as the underrated masterpieces they were (and don't forget The Misadventures of Tron Bonne , that was damn funny too)

Cooking with Zephir : Giant donut rice

Here I am with a brand new recipe , he he :3

Today I did a simple donut-shaped rice with sausages , very simple , but tasty ^^

The ingredients for the recipe are

- 600g of rice
- 3-4 medium size sausages
- Tomato sauce
- Oil
- Butter
- Salt
- Bread Crumbs

- Start by cooking the rice in enough boiling salted water and , when it's cooked right , drain it and place it back in the pot
- Now in another little pot add a bit of oil and turn on the burner
- Cut the sausages in little pieces
- When the oil is hot enough , add the sausages and carefully cook them , adding also a little bit of salt
- When the sausages are cooked , add the tomato sauce (enough to cover the sausages) , 2-3 spoons of water and mix
- When the sauce is starting to boil , turn off the burner and add it to the rice , mixing everything
- Take a donut shaped cake pan and oil it with the butter
- Add the bread crumbs and let it stick to the pan , removing the excess
- Now , carefully add the rice with the help of a spoon and be sure to press it with the other side of the spoon  so it'll stick for good
- When you added all the rice , use the spoon to flat the surfare and add a small layer of bread crumbs
- Put the rice in a pre-heated oven at 200° C for 20-25 minutes
- When the bread crumbs surface will become lightly brown , remove the pan from the oven
- Leave it cooling down a bit , then , turn the pan over to a plate
- You can serve it while it's still hot or later when it's mild

Cooking with Zephir : Salmon Rolls

Today we leave desserts for a bit , I'll teach you how to cook (even if you'll not have to actually cook something XD) a nice appetizer : Salmon Rolls

The needed ingredients are

- White sandwich bread
- Smoked Salmon
- Rocket
- Cream cheese

- First of all , take the white bread and flat it with the rolling pin , it'll became thinner and easier to fold
- Spread the cream cheese all over the bread
- Place the smoked salmon on it , covering the edges too
- Place the rocket too , trying not to overdosing
- Roll carefully the bread into a cilinder
- Use a knife to cut disks from the cilinder and place them on a plate

And your rolls are done ^^
You can also wrap the cilinder in plastic and place it into the fridge if you don't need it immediatly

Cooking with Zephir : Apple pie

There is nothing better then cook something when you're bored :3
This time I did an Applepie , really simple to do and it's awesome for breakfast.

And that's how I did it

-700g of apples
-300g of flour
-250g of sugar
-70g of butter
-3 eggs
-15g of baking powder
-1 lemon
-1 cup of milk

-Start with grating the lemon zest and then squeeze the lemon for the juice
-Peel the apples and remove the cores , then cut the apples in little pieces
-Cover them with the lemon juice , so they'll not become brown
-On another plate , break the eggs , separating the white
-Whisk the white until it became solid
-Add the sugar to the egg yolk and start to mix
-Add then the softened butter and mix again while adding the milk
-Add the flour , the lemon zest and the baking powder and mix
-Add then the white of the eggs and mix carefully
-Lastly add the apples and mix , the mixture should be fairly compact
-Use a bit of butter and the flour on a baking tin and drop the mixture inside , try to level it equally
-You can decorate the top of the cake with some other apple pieces
-Preheat the oven at 180° C and when it's hot , place the baking tin inside
-Leave it for around 40/50 minutes , always check with a toothpick
-When it's done , leave it cooling down , then remove the cake from the baking tin and serve
-You can also add some powdered sugar if you want

Sonic Generations : Classic Sonic new power revealed

For the ones that still don't know it :

 Sonic Generations is a recently announced Sonic game for XBox360 , PS3 and 3DS (and rumored , for PC too) that will feature both the Sonic from the Genesis era (commonly know as Classic Sonic) and the actual Sonic (know as Modern Sonic).
The game will mix the classic gameplay we saw playing Sonic on the Sega Genesis , as a 2D platformer and the modern gameplay taken from the most recent games like Sonic Colours.

Today Sega released a playble demo featuring Classic Sonic in "Green Hill" , that will expire in 20 days
Now , I have to say......the game is funny , fast and it plays well , it's like an improved version of Sonic 4
While i was playing I thought "Hey , this game really is cool.........Finally Sega did something great with Sonic , it's really awe......"
And when I was going to say "awesome" , THIS happened...

.....the hell is that ? I was praising Sega for once , and they gave me THIS ?
I understand that the game is a demo and that they can still improve it , but.....man , I'm scared......'cause this isn't the first time that they screw the laws of the physics

Well , let's hope they'll fix it , I know it's stupid to be mad for these things , but these errors are way MORE stupid !!

Cooking with Zephir : Pancakes

When I woke up today , like all the other days , I wasn't able to do anything : I can't do anything if I don't have my breakfast immediatly after waking up.

But , with horror , I noticed that my cereals and the milk was missing........we forget to buy them the other day ;_;

I was about to cry , I NEED BREAKFAST OR I'LL NEVER BE ABLE TO HANDLE THE DAY

Then I saw them........sugar , honey , eggs.........and then I said "Let's do it !!!" and I started to cook PANCAKES
And after some little "adventures" (like the first pancake almost burned) this is the result

Tiggy plushie is guarding them , don't even try to steal >:3

It's nothing too complex , everyone can do them with the ingredients and some time
For the pancakes you see in the photo I used..

100g flour
50g sugar
1/2 teaspoon of Baking Powder
2 eggs
1 teaspoon of Honey
2 spoon of water

- Mix the two eggs with the sugar and mix them untill the sugar is totally melt
- Add the flour after you have sift it and mix
- Add the honey and mix
- Separately melt the baking powder with the water , then add it to the mixture and mix
- Leave the mixture to rest for 30 minutes
- After resting , take a frying pan and turn on the burner at low flame
- When the pan is hot , use a spoon to take some of the mixture and gently drop it on the pan from above
- Leave it cooking for some seconds , when you see some little bubbles on the surface , flip the pancake
- After some other seconds , remove the pancake and leave it on a plate
- Repeat the process untill you use all the mixture

You should have a dozen or more pancakes , not really big , but tasty :3
Remember to eat them when they're still warm , maybe with some chocolate syrup or butter , or anything you want

Final Fantasy XIII-2 Battle Theme

If you know me , you should know that I LOVE RPGs , mostly jRPGs , but more specific , I love the battle themes , they give you energy X3

A good RPG loses a lot of points if the battle theme suck..... 

Luckly that's not the case of the Final Fantasy series , that has always cool battle themes : my favorites are FF9 and FF13.

Since they announced FF13-2 , I was curious to hear the new battle theme , thinking it would be a remix of Blinded by Light , or something new like FFX-2.

Well , the time has come , the battle theme has been revealed at the E3.................and it's awesome !!!!! :3

Oh man , i cannot wait to play the game , this battle theme is both calm and energetic , yay !!!!
